Our Mission
The Ceramic Fabricators Network is dedicated to organizing professional ceramicists and craftspeople to strengthen careers in the ceramic field. By building a cooperative network of highly skilled makers, we expand opportunities for our community while advancing the quality and visibility of the work we produce. Through advocacy, industry-specific education, and resource sharing, we promote the value of ceramic labor, foster equitable compensation, and create the conditions for sustainable careers that allow artists to grow their practice and continue working in the field.
About
This collective was started by two Brooklyn based ceramicists in 2025, Eleni Kontos and Katie Coughlin. Over the past two decades, we have had experience in the ceramic field as artists, teachers, technicians, fabricators and more. We see a need for a better working environment not only within the arts but specifically within the ceramic industry.
